The
Society of St. Paul is a religious congregation in the Catholic Church
made up of brothers and priests dedicated to using the media to bring Christ
to the world. The vision started at the beginning of this century and will
be valid through the next millennium. Consecrated men are needed for the
arduous global media ministry.
Working together
with the whole Pauline Family the brothers and priests strive to be lights
for the good news. They speak a word of conscience to the world and address
the needs of the human spirit and the soul of the world's cultures. They
promotes justice for all, peace among nations, tolerance among peoples,
respect for human dignity, and a reverence for the God who is love. |

A Great
Adventure in Freedom and Love
"With a free
response to the appeal of the Holy Spirit, we have decided to follow Jesus
Christ and to consecrate ourselves totally to him. In order to be a sign
and witness of his love, we have come together as his own in a fraternal
communion of life in the religious Congregation of the Society of St. Paul."
Art. 1, The Constitutions of the
Society
The brothers and priests in the
Society of St. Paul take four vows: poverty, chastity, obedience, and
fidelity to the Pope in matters of the Apostolate. We minister to the
world through our use of every aspect of the media. We utilize books, magazines,
tapes, videos, radio, television, the internet, etc. in spreading the Gospel,
promoting justice and furthering human understanding. Our bookstores and
media centers are designed to nurture the human mind, heart and soul. |
