In his presentations Crossroad of Faith: Scripture and Liberation, Contemplation and Action Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM focuses on the liberating power of the Word of God. Reflecting and meditating on the scriptures leads to a liberation of the individual as the enormity of God's love becomes apparent. People wise in the word of God become living forces for true freedom in the midst of an enslaved world. The wounded, human, imperfect contemplative is the one who is best suited for healing a broken society.

Rev. Richard Rohr, OFM, a Franciscan priest, is currently the animator and founder of The Center of Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque. From 1971 to 1976 he was the leader of the New Jerusalem Community in Cincinnati. Fr. Rohr is a well-known writer, speaker and retreat director. Some of his more known works are: The Great Themes of Scripture, Discovering the Enneagram, Simplicity, The Wild Man's Journey, and The Near Occasions of Grace.
