Reviews
"How St. Paul helps us step into the Third Millennium: Worth
the price if only for its 6-page 'Glossary' included as an appendix: Insightful
new book by theologian, author and spiritual director, Fr. George A. Maloney,
S.J. (director of Contemplative Ministries, Seal Beach, CA). Title:
The Mystery of Christ in You: The Mystical Vision of Saint Paul.
The book explores the deep attraction to and insight into God's mysteries
revealed in Christ -- gifts given to St. Paul. Its 8 chapters take a fresh
look at what it means to live "In Christ" and the implications of that
mystery for Christians living in the world (in any age). Chapters also
include theological exploration of the Holy Spirit ("Gift of God's Love"),
as well as the cosmic and eschatological dimension of Paul's mysticism.
A careful, readable new work on Paul that can open new doors of
understanding regarding this great Saint and his teachings -- and gives
renewed meaning to membership in the Body of Christ today. Of Note:
The Glossary brings an experienced teacher's light to the many terms encountered
in Paul's writings; clear, brief explanations based in Church teaching/history
while touching on daily life." --Crux of the News,

"Many people today are seeking answers to questions about the purpose of life and the ultimate
goal of the universe as we approach the third millennium. Father Maloney's book attempts to make
Paul's mystical vision of our mysterious indwelling union with Jesus Christ more easily understood.
He is aware that he is writing about a mystery and that everything the reader may seek will not be
found here. The book is, however, an insightful work on Pauline theology of Church and life in
Christ. Recommended for all mature readers." --Arnold Rzepecki in
Catholic Library World, December 1998
