Michael McGowan was recently received into the Order of Our Lady
of Mount Carmel as a Third Order Carmelite. Deeply devoted to the Eucharist and profoundly
disturbed that many seem to have lost touch with this essential element of their faith, he has
undertaken this labor of love to help remind us all of the precious treasure which Christ has left
us of Himself in this sacrament. Husband and father of five, he is by day a consulting
geologist, having graduated in 1981 from Rutgers University with a Masters Degree in Geology.
