Edmund Power, OSB is a Benedictine monk and, since 2005, Abbot of St. Paul's Outside the Walls in Rome, where the mortal remains of the Apostle are enshrined. Born in the UK in 1952, he entered Douai Abbey. Gaining a PhD in Theology from the University of London, he taught for many years, and was Prior of the College of Saint'Anselmo in Rome before being elected Abbot of St. Paul's.

Edmund Power is a Pauline scholar who has also served as Abbot of the Benedictine community at the basilica of Saint Paul's Outside-the-Walls in Rome. Here he provides us with a lovely gem in the form of a hardbound booklet containing several texts of Paul that serve as beautiful "hymns" to Christ and God's love. Each text is followed by a brief reflection and orientation to prayer. This little book is also illustrated with miniatures from the ninth-century "Bible of St. Paul's Outside-the-Walls" that depict various scenes from the apostle's life.
